Hi, I'm Mridula

Do you ever feel like you're constantly stuck in your head? Maybe your mind is always going—overthinking, replaying conversations, worrying about what's next, or refusing to quiet down. Or maybe you feel disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by your emotions, or like you're simply going through the motions.

I work with children ages 6 and up, teens, and adults of all ages navigating overwhelming thoughts and emotions. Together, we'll work on slowing things down, reconnecting with yourself, and building practical tools to help you feel more grounded, clear, and able to move forward.

Who I Work With

I work with children ages 6 and up, teens, and adults across the lifespan navigating anxiety, panic, depression, relationship and interpersonal concerns, emotional overwhelm, stress, life transitions, and times when things feel difficult to manage. I adapt my approach to each person's age, needs, and developmental stage, drawing on mindfulness, creative expression, and practical coping skills. You might feel stuck in thought spirals, overwhelmed by your emotions, disconnected from your body, or unsure how to move forward.

Sometimes feeling stuck looks like a mind that never seems to quiet down. Other times, it looks like low motivation, exhaustion, going through the motions, or knowing that something needs to change but not knowing where to begin.

Therapy with me is about slowing things down enough to understand what's happening, reconnect with yourself, and begin responding differently. We'll work toward helping you feel more present in your life, more capable of navigating difficult thoughts and emotions, and clearer about the changes you want to make.

My Style 🌿

I believe therapy should be a place where you can slow down.

When we're overwhelmed, our attention can become consumed by everything happening in our heads—what happened yesterday, what might happen tomorrow, what we should have done differently, or what we need to figure out next. Sometimes we become so caught up in thinking that we lose touch with ourselves along the way.

My style is warm, calming, and collaborative. I like helping clients slow down enough to notice what's happening in their thoughts, emotions, and bodies without immediately feeling like they need to fix or escape it.

You don't need to come into therapy knowing exactly what's wrong or having the perfect words to describe how you feel. We can start with where you are and figure it out together.

Therapy for Children, Teens & Adults

I work with children ages 6 and older, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, difficult transitions, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to offer a welcoming, trauma-informed space where you feel understood and supported.

With children and teens, I incorporate developmentally appropriate play-based activities, creative expression, and art therapy to support emotional expression and coping skills. With adults, I often integrate mindfulness, cognitive behavioral strategies, and mind-body practices to help navigate overwhelming emotions and meaningful change.

I tailor our work to your needs, strengths, cultural background, and lived experiences. I offer services in English, Hindi, and Kannada.

How I Work

Slowing down, reconnecting with yourself, and finding a way forward.

In therapy, we'll practice ways to ground yourself, tune into what you're feeling, and build coping skills for moments when thoughts or emotions become overwhelming. You'll learn tools for stepping out of thought spirals, managing anxiety and low moods, and creating more of the mental clarity you've been searching for.

My approach pays particular attention to the connection between the mind and body. We may use breath awareness, grounding, and present-moment practices to help you notice what you're experiencing, reconnect with your body, and stay grounded when your mind begins racing or emotions feel overwhelming.

My approach is collaborative, person-centered, culturally responsive, and tailored to each client rather than one-size-fits-all. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we'll explore these patterns with curiosity, build practical coping skills, and identify meaningful changes that can help you feel more confident navigating everyday life.

The goal isn't to never have another difficult thought or emotion. It's to understand yourself more deeply, feel more capable of navigating what comes up, and develop tools you can actually use when life gets hard.

When Words Aren't Enough 🎨

Sometimes you know you're feeling something but can't quite find the words for it. Talking can be incredibly helpful, but not every experience is easy to explain.

With specialized training in art therapy, I can incorporate creative expression into our work as another way to explore and communicate what you're experiencing. Art therapy can give you space to express emotions, experiences, and parts of yourself that may be difficult to put into words.

You don't need to be artistic or “good at art.” The goal isn't the finished product—it's what the process allows you to notice, express, and understand about yourself.

Art therapy is always an option, never a requirement. Together, we'll find approaches that feel comfortable, useful, and authentic to you.

What I Work With

🌀

Overthinking & Anxiety

When your brain rarely seems to quiet down—worrying, replaying conversations, anticipating what could happen next, or getting pulled into thought spirals. We'll work on slowing down the mental chatter, grounding yourself when anxiety takes over, and learning ways to respond without letting every thought run the show.

🌊

Panic & Overwhelm

When anxiety feels like it takes over your whole body or everything suddenly becomes too much. We'll work on recognizing what's happening, reconnecting with your body, and developing tools to help you feel more grounded when waves of overwhelm show up.

🌧️

Depression & Feeling Stuck

When you're exhausted, unmotivated, disconnected, or simply going through the motions, knowing what might help doesn't always make it easier to do. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck and find manageable ways to reconnect with yourself and begin moving forward again.

🌱

Life Transitions & Change

Career changes, relationships, family roles, loss, aging, or simply realizing that your life doesn't feel quite the way you want it to can leave you wondering what comes next. Therapy can give you space to slow down, understand what you need, and find greater clarity about your next steps.

🔥

Stress & Burnout

When you've been pushing through for too long, even small things can begin to feel overwhelming. We'll work on recognizing your patterns and warning signs, understanding what your mind and body are telling you, and developing more sustainable ways of navigating stress.

🎨

Art Therapy & Play Therapy

Sometimes words don't quite capture what you're experiencing. Art therapy can provide another way to explore emotions, identity, relationships, memories, and experiences that may be difficult to explain. With children, play-based activities can also offer a developmentally appropriate way to explore feelings and experiences. No artistic ability is needed—just a willingness to explore.
