Do you take insurance?
Short answer: No. We know, we know — everyone's first question. But before you close the tab, here's the real talk on why that's actually a good thing for you.
Insurance companies aren't in the business of your wellbeing. They're in the business of profit. And those two things? Not exactly aligned.
Here's what happens when insurance gets involved:
They require a mental health diagnosis to pay for literally anything. That label becomes part of your permanent medical record — whether you want it there or not. Struggling with life transitions? Relationship stress? Grief? Too bad. Insurance doesn't cut checks for "being human." They need a disorder with a code.
They decide what "counts" as therapy. Spoiler: it's usually only crisis management, not actual growth, prevention, or quality of life work. Want to explore patterns that keep you stuck? Build better relationships? Understand yourself better? That's not "medically necessary" in their world.
They limit how many sessions you get and what you're allowed to talk about. Because apparently a case manager who's never met you knows your healing timeline better than you and your therapist do.
Here's what happens when you work with us:
Your records stay actually private. No diagnostic codes floating around databases. No insurance company deciding what you "should" be working on. We treat you like a whole person, not a profit margin calculation.
We decide together what you need — not some insurer incentivized to deny claims. Want to work on prevention? Personal growth? Understanding your patterns? That's all fair game here.
We also reserve sliding scale spots for clients who need them, with priority given to marginalized communities. Therapy should be accessible, and we're committed to making that happen without selling our souls (or your privacy) to insurance companies.
What services do you offer?
We provide individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, and trauma-informed yoga and somatic workshops. We offer both in-person sessions in Cumming, GA and telehealth services throughout Georgia.
Do you offer clinical supervision?
We do not currently offer clinical supervision, as we are not yet licensed to provide that service. However, we do offer consultation services for fellow practitioners.
What issues do you work with?
We support people through trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship challenges, parenting struggles, life transitions, and more. This is not an exhaustive list—if you're wondering whether we're a fit, we're happy to have a conversation.
Are you inclusive?
We are committed to creating an affirming and welcoming space for all adults. We welcome individuals of all identities, backgrounds, and relationship structures—including all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship configurations (such as monogamous, polyamorous, or other consensual arrangements).
What is your therapeutic approach?
We combine evidence-based therapeutic methods with genuine compassion and a holistic perspective. We see you as a whole person—mind, body, and experience.
How many clients do you see?
We intentionally limit our practice size to preserve the quality of care and presence we bring to every session.
